Catastrophe Readiness Clearinghouse
The Catastrophe Readiness Clearinghouse, sponsored by a grant from the Allstate Foundation and is housed at the Middle Country Public Library. Provides tools for families, small businesses and not-for-profits to plan strategies for responding to catastrophic events. Important links to aids for readiness planning, disaster preparedness sites, local information, response services on Long Island and contingency planning programs and events are accessible from the site.
Brain Awareness Collection
A comprehensive bibliography created by the Pilot Club of Patchogue to promote awareness of brain-related disorders, and to improve the lives of those affected by such disorders.Through generous grants from Senator Caesar Trunzo and Assmblywoman Patricia Eddington, the Club has been able to donate books and films, with a focus on brain-related disease and disabilities to the Patchogue-Medford Library.
