The Patchogue-Medford Wireless Network
 
The Patchogue-Medford Library provides free wireless access to Library patrons.
The wireless network can be accessed with a valid Suffolk County Library card and PIN.
If needed, guest passes are available at the Circulation Desk
The wireless Network is available during Library hours of operations.
To utilize the wireless network, you must have a  device equipped with
802.11b or 802.11g
The device must be capable of navigating to and accepting the acceptable use policy.

Wireless Network Security
 
The Library's wireless network is not secure. Information sent to and from your device can be captured by anyone with a wireless device and appropriate software.
Library staff is not able to provide technical assistance and no guarantee can be provided that you will be able to establish a wireless connection.
The Library assumes no responsibility for the safety of equipment or for laptop configurations, security, or data files resulting from connection to the Library's network.
 
Wireless Network Scope and Limitations
Services including but not limited to POP, SMTP, FTP, SSH, Telnet and VPN
Are disabled. To access email you must use the email providers web based interface.
 
Wireless Printing
 
Wireless Printing is available through the Library’s SAM system.
A wireless printing client needs to be installed to utilize wireless printing.
Wireless printing is currently limited to Windows based devices.
